Born in the Netherlands, Yann van der Meer grew up in the south of France. After a Master’s degree in ‘Fine Arts’ at the Villa Arson in Nice, he moved to Marseille where he now makes music and contributes to the tiny not well-known art scene of the city. His work ranges from ambient/electronica collages, sound installations to DIY loudspeakers and musical instruments. He is also an adventurous DJ, sound recorder, and he plays in several bands, such as the all-fresh project “Userband” with Sarah-Louise Barbett aka Musique Chienne.
