Alejandro Luque Belmonte

Alejandro Luque Belmonte (1988) is een Spaans/Nederlandse trombonist en maakt onderdeel uit van het Rotterdamse koperkwintet Pelgrim Brass.

Alejandro Luque Belmonte (1988) is born in Almeria, in the South of Spain. At the age of 8, Alejandro started playing the trombone in his hometown. Later on, he went to the Conservatory of Malaga, to finish with a Bachelor degree on the highest rating.

After his study in Spain, Alejandro traveled to Holland to develop himself as a trombonist at Codarts.At the Rotterdam Conservatory he got lectured by Alexander Verbeek and Brandt Attema. Both teachers spotted Alejandros’ qualities quickly, and made him their assistant in 2014. By doing so, Alejandro started assisting during lessons and was leading during grouplessons. 

As a trombonist, Alejandro has performed as a stand-in for the  Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest, Philharmonie Zuid-Nederland and other professional orchestras in the Netherlands. Alejandro has also been part of the Spanish chamber music ensemble Alham-Brass for a couple of concerts. In addition, Alejandro is also one of the founding members of Pelgrim Brass and the Malaga Brass Quintet.
