Jesse Schilderink is saxofonist in uiteenlopende projecten en is oprichter van het Rotterdam/Trondheim Collective.

Jesse Schilderink

Jesse Schilderink (1995) is a Rotterdam-based saxophonist and composer, mainly active in the scene of instrumental and improvised music. In 2019 he graduated with a 9.5 from  Codarts in Rotterdam. He also studied part of his undergraduate studies at the NTNU Conservatory in Trondheim (Norway). During his studies Jesse took lessons from Ben van den Dungen, Dick de Graaf, Eirik Hegdal, Mette Rasmussen and Rolf Delfos, among others.

As a saxophonist Jesse is active with a wide variety of bands, including Liberati Quartet (winner Erasmus Jazz Prize 2017), Asbest (Jimmi Hueting, Jelle Roozenburg), De Raad van Toezicht, Willem! (Willem Romers, Jelle Roozenburg), SPUNK!, Barking Fish (Jeroen Verberne, Kika Sprangers) and Son Bent Braam.

He is also the founder and bandleader of the Rotterdam/Trondheim Collective, an ongoing exchange project that builds bridges between musicians from the Dutch and Norwegian scene.
