Rowan de Vos

Rowan de Vos (1994), born in Rotterdam, is a keyboard player, singer and composer. At Codarts Conservatorium Rotterdam he took lessons from Rob van Bavel, Kris Goessens, Luis Rabello and Stefan Lievestro (composition), among others. He graduated in 2018 with his own Rowan de Vos trio, Dawn Brothers and the band S.T.O.K.. This band he founded in 2017 together with Batavier Jelle Roozenburg. S.T.O.K. was nominated for the final of the Erasmus jazz prize in 2018.

During his studies, Rowan organised the jazz sessions in the Doelencafé (now the Stadsbrasserie) for two years.

Today, Rowan is active as keyboard player and singer in the bands Dawn Brothers, Next of Kin and Merel Sophie. With these bands, he has released two albums and two EPs in the past three years. In these bands, besides being a keyboard player and singer, he is also a composer, arranger and lyricist.

Tours with the Dawn Brothers took him to the Netherlands, Germany, England, South Africa and America. He is currently working on a third album with this band. Dawn Brothers have collaborated with bands DeWolff, Tim Knol and Merel Sophie. From this, Next of Kin was born, with which a first EP was released in April 2018.

In addition to these bands, Rowan has worked with the likes of Mathilde Santing, Matt Bianco, Tom Brown and others.
