Tom Ridderbeekx is considered one of the young trumpet talents of the Dutch Jazz scene. Tom studied at the conservatories of Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Berlin and Philadelphia, where he was taught by trumpet heroes such as John Swana, Jarmo Hoogendijk, Gerard Presencer, Ruud Breuls, Wim Both, Jan van Duikeren and Eric Vloeimans.
Nowadays, he is creating a furore with De Raad van Toezicht, Coal Harbour, The King Swings, NONA and Dennis van Aarssen. With these bands and artists, he has performed at many Dutch jazz and pop festivals, jazz venues and theatres. He also toured Thailand, India, Colombia and South Africa with New York Round Midnight, a band with Dutch jazz greats such as Ben van den Dungen, the Beets brothers and Deborah Carter.
Tom is also closely involved in the organisation and leadership of Coal Harbour, The Supervisory Board and the theatre and overseas tours of New York Round Midnight.
