The concept of Ambient afternoons is that each session we will have 2 people jamming for an hour (or two, or whatever feels great). No pre-rehearsed stuff. The jam should be ambient oriented (of course some deviations are great, but aiming for the calming side) and the goal is to have a chill afternoon together with people who like ambient music!
In terms of instruments, there are no limitations, meaning if you want to perform only with classical guitar or only with you phone – all is fine.
Rotterdam is busy with all kinds of music going on, even though there are quite some people who like ambient, this genre is somehow forgotten and is happening only privately, that’s why this is the attempt to bring this gathering and maybe introduce more people to this. Or maybe just have some fun and maybe some collabs.
Feel free to invite people you think would be interested in this. Keep in mind it’s not a real concert, more like a nice gathering with someone playing some chill music around 🙂
