For the second appointment of this serie composers/musicians Simone Bottasso and Daniel de Boer will mix their different musical and cultural backgrounds using the beautiful acoustic sound of their instruments in combination with live electronics and effects.
Music that moves from imaginative soundscapes to original compositions using elements of folk, contemporary music, jazz and rock. An organic rendez-vous between acoustic music, improvisation, live electronics in order to create a storytelling show.
‘Digital Nature of Life’ is a journey through modern human life enriched with experiences of the two musicians. Will nature win or will we all end up as digital holograms?
Simone Bottasso – diatonic accordion, flute, live electronics
Daniel De Boer – double bass, el. bass, guitar, vocals, live electronics
The idea of this serie is to explore the combinations of trekharmonica (diatonic accordion) with other instruments, sounds, forms of art and concepts and see how they can blend together. In each concert there will be premieres of new composition, written especially for the night.
This serie is also a symbolic way to explore new (and dust off old) collaborations, friendships, give a new life to unfinished sketches and lost compositions, and definitely to try to get back on stage with a renovated and healthy performance routine.
