The Coal Harbour Sextet has its roots at the conservatory of Rotterdam, in the district Coolhaven. The repertoire consists of originals written by the band members themselves and is influenced by the legends of the hard bop era, like Art Blakey, Horace Silver and Cannonball Adderley.
