A musician based in Lisbon, 2/3 musicians based in Rotterdam, without any prior personal knowledge of each other.
Meeting by chance, they decide to play a show full of their original compositions, without any prior knowledge of each other’s aesthetic approaches to music. Through music and music alone, Gato/Nandja/Papior/Moreno will form a partnership and artistic bond in real time, sharing their backgrounds, approaches and inner universes and using the vehicle of improvisation as a way of meeting each other and the audience.
The repertoire will consist of original compositions of jazz, modern jazz, free and avant-garde.
