1st concert: Bereris – Zegrí Duo
Sigá y Silente, meaning "in a gentle and silent way," is the title of the upcoming album by Andalusian percussionist Lucas Zegrí and Greek pianist Yiorgos Bereris. The duo, who met in 2021, shared a common need to communicate despite linguistic barriers, discovering music as their universal language.
Their orchestration blends a variety of percussion instruments from Latin American, Balkan, and Middle Eastern traditions—such as batá, pandeiro, cajón, and bendir—complemented by a pianistic style that merges jazz with East-Mediterranean influences.
This autumn, they will release their debut album, Sigá y Silente, featuring original compositions inspired by flamenco, Afro-Cuban rhythms, jazz, and Greek traditional music. A standout collaboration on the album is with the talented Andalusian flamenco singer, Blanca La Almendrita.

2nd concert: Echoes of the Silk Road
Echoes of the Silk Road is a dynamic musical collaboration that brings together the talents of three female artists from South Korea and Turkey. Through a fusion of Korean, Turkish, Western Classical, and jazz music, the ensemble creates a captivating blend of diverse musical traditions. By drawing inspiration from the rich musical heritage of the Silk Road, the Dareyn Ensemble offers a contemporary interpretation that reflects the cultural exchange and artistic innovation that characterized this historic route.
Their repertoire is inspired by the beauty of modality, the dynamic character of Korean and jazz singing, and the rich world of rhythms. The music, through blended improvisations and unique compositions, creates dialogues where the existence of unspoken narratives is present in the imagination of each listener.

Het duo, dat elkaar in 2021 ontmoette, deelde een gemeenschappelijke behoefte om te communiceren ondanks taalbarrières, en ontdekte muziek als hun universele taal.
Hun orkestratie combineert een verscheidenheid aan percussie-instrumenten uit Latijns-Amerikaanse, Balkan- en Midden-Oosterse tradities zoals batá, pandeiro, cajón en bendir, aangevuld met een pianostijl die jazz vermengt met Oost-Mediterrane invloeden.
