Meet La Reunión, a salsa collective rooted in Rotterdam and founded and directed by the talented viola player, Daniela Rivera. This ensemble consists of seven musicians coming from diverse corners of the globe, each bringing their own musical flavour to the mix. United by their love for Afro-Cuban rhythms, they found their musical home in the lively music scene of Rotterdam.
What sets La Reunión apart is their innovative approach to salsa. Imagine the classic salsa band, but with a twist: instead of traditional horns, they feature the viola and flute. Through their original arrangements, these instruments seamlessly blend with the rhythm section, giving La Reunión its distinctive swing. A bailar!
