Lullaby Sessions is a new series of Lying Down Concerts at Batavierhuis. Come and lay that smooth ass down on the softest cushions of gold, surrounded by little Christmas lights (it’s never early enough) and close your eyes to the delicate sounds of talented Rotterdam musicians, who perform their original work in an intimate setting.
This first edition is featuring singer-songwriters Alison Jutta and Nana, both residents of the Batavierhuis. They will both perform their songs solo on the grand piano. To make sure the atmosphere is intimate and chill, there is a maximum of 30 guests.
Alison Jutta
Alison Jutta makes soulful and dreamy synth pop. With her warm tone of voice she tells you her stories, thoughts and daydreams. Inspired by artists like Lianne La Havas and Solange, she combines her storytelling and sophisticated songwriting with groovy basslines and elegant melodies.

Nana
The melancholic music of Rotterdam based singer/songwriter Nana touches the emotion. With a voice that reaches from deep sounding vocals till a high, vulnerable sound, she sings about the power of heartache and love itself. Nana brings this universal feeling from deep within her, in a mix of alternative pop with classical, cinematic influences. Her voice got described by Papercut Magazine as ‘’Laura Marling-esque vocals guided by the impassioned soul of Jeff Buckley’’. Nana released her debut EP MEUS x MEA in 2017 and recently played at Sofar Sounds NYC.
