Noies string quartet was founded in 2023 in The Netherlands, where four talented musicians from Mediterranean countries met at the beginning of their professional career. They where brought together by their passion for chamber music, but also by a shared curiosity towards the role of women in classical music. That is why they commit to shine a light on the female composers of the past and the contemporaries, including them in their practice and in their performances.
Despite being a newly born ensemble they have been invited to perform in the String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam 2023, where they opened the concert for the Belcea string quartet. They are currently active in The Netherlands and in Belgium and they are coached by internationally renowned musicians as part of the NSKA Academy in Utrecht.
