Cocoliche is a language created by Italian immigrants and Argentinean locals in Buenos Aires, in the beginning of the 20th century. Several words and expressions are still used nowadays on both sides of the Atlantic, and are a core part of the lexicon of tango music.
100 years later, the process reverts: Argentineans and Italians meet again in Europe, in the middle of an ultra globalised society.
We see our project as a result of all this mixture, similar to what our ancestors once experienced.
Spanish, Italian, Tango, Jazz and Latin influences meet again and transform each other, creating a new common language, a new cocoliche: our music.
