Putting an emphasis on creative processes, improvisation and group development, Rara Avis is a newly formed Dutch string quartet, exploring a broad world of sounds rooted in a background of classical music, free improvisation and jazz.
This project is a collaboration with the young extraordinaire composer, conductor and artistic director Tijn Wybenga. Together they will be performing at the Strijkkwartet Bienalle 2020 in Amsterdam.
