Batavier Loek van den Berg initieert de concertserie ‘Van Het Huis’. Ieder concert nodigt hij andere Batavieren uit om samen te spelen en een impressie te geven van wat er allemaal gemaakt is in het Batavierhuis. Een tof idee en mooi project, waarmee nieuwe samenwerkingen ontstaan en gebruikers van het huis elkaar opzoeken en samenspelen. En precies dát, is één van de fundamenten van het Batavierhuis.
De concertserie vindt – bij mooi weer – plaats in de buitenlucht op het binnenplein van het Batavierhuis. Bij regen gaan ze gewoon door in de concertzaal of de theaterzaal.
Loek van den Berg Quintet
Het Loek van den Berg Quintet neemt je mee op reis, en houdt je op het puntje van je stoel met hun verhalende composities, hartverwarmende improvisaties en hun fabelachtige beheersing van hun instrument. Hun muziek is iets anders, en laat je niet onverschillig! Dat voel je tijdens hun live shows, waar de passie en het enthousiasme van de band je meevoeren.
Door de jaren heen heeft het Quintet een eigen stijl gecreëerd die zich kenmerkt door de melodieuze en melancholische composities van Loek. Iedereen in de band is echter gelijk. Alle vijf bandleden hebben een eigen stem, die door de nummers heen schemert omdat er veel ruimte is voor eigen interpretatie, improvisatie en interactie. Het kwintet is gebouwd op een sterke vriendschapsband, die je duidelijk terughoort in de muziek.
Tijdens het concert zal de band een voorproefje geven van hun aankomende album ‘Wayfarer’.

Batavier Loek van den Berg initiates the ‘Van Het Huis ‘ concert series. At each concert, he invites other Batavians to play together and give an impression of everything that has been created in the Batavier House. A great idea and a beautiful project, which creates new collaborations and allows the users of the house to seek each other out and play together. And that is precisely one of the foundations of the Batavierhuis.
When the weather is fine, the concert series takes place outdoors in the courtyard of the Batavierhuis. When it rains, the concerts are held in the concert hall or the theatre hall.

The Loek van den Berg Quintet takes you on a trip, and keeps youon the edge of your seats with their storytelling compositions, heartfelt improvisations and their fabulous control of their instrument.
Their music is something else, and won’t leave you indifferent! You can feel this during their live shows, where the passion and enthusiasm of the band will take you away.
Through the years the Quintet has created an own style characterized by the melodical and melancholical compositions of Loek. Everyone in the band is equal though. All five bandmembers have their own voice, which shines through the songs as there is a lot of room for own interpretation, improvisation and interaction. The quintet is built on a strong bond of friendship, which you can clearly hear in the music.
During the concert the band will give you a little preview of their upcoming album ‘Wayfarer’.
