A musical journey through the culture of a country where music is, mainly, its language as a means of communication.
Youssouf Keita is considered a "Griot" in Burkina Faso. This means, his goal is to share and perform the musical tradition from his village, to keep alive the history of his family and culture. The music in Burkina Faso is represented by the Balafon, one of the most ancient instruments of the African continent. Bobo Dioulasso is considered the capital of the Balafon in West Africa. There, the musicians are respected and revered for sharing this language in the shape of music. Every song has a meaning and it is played for an specific aim.
Emilio and Youssouf met in 2022 in Burkina Faso and since then, they have been sharing their music passion.
All of the instruments are made by Youssouf himself.
