Carmen van Mulier is actrice, theatermaker en zangeres.

Carmen van Mulier (1994, Nijmegen) graduated from the Drama & Cabaret Academy in Amsterdam. She currently works as an actress, singer and theatre maker/director.

In recent years, she has played as an actress at Orkater, de Toneelmakerij, MAAS Theater en Dans, Bostheaterproducties, the Amsterdam Bostheater, Opus One and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, and more. In addition, she could be seen in various films and (TV) series, including GIPS, Mocro Maffia, Nieuwe Buren and De Veroordeling. This autumn, she will play the lead role in the renowned German ‘Bochum Schauspielhaus’, directed by Liesbeth Coltof.

Carmen has previously made the performance ‘Infant Eyes’, a solo performance called ‘Droomspel’ (selected for the IT’S festival 2017) and  ‘De Overdracht’ (a theatre performance with and about her own father).

In 2019 Carmen worked extensively with the band Jo Goes Hunting. She joined the ‘Front Row’ tour with backing vocals, synthesizers and percussion. She has co-composed the singles ‘Until it’s over’ and ‘Computa’ and for the latter single she also directed the music video. This video clip was shot at the Batavierhuis and you can watch and listen to it below. In 2021 Carmen’s debut EP will be released.
