Classical pianist Celia García-García is best known for her versatility and for continuously seeking to push the boundaries of her art.

Her great love for playing chamber music (with ensembles such as her duo with Femke IJlstra, Codigo Trio, Duo Maas, and numerous ad hoc formations) has brought her to hundreds of concert venues in The Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Canada, China, Russia…

During her master studies at Codarts Conservatory she specialized in orchestral playing. She performs regularly piano and celesta in orchestras such as Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Amsterdam Sinfonietta, Nederlands Kamerorkest, Dutch Ballet Orchestra and others.

One of Celia’s self-imposed missions is to bring more people in contact with the celesta: in 2016 she recorded a solo celesta album in Stuttgart commissioned by Schiedmayer, the only celesta manufacturer in the world.

She is a member of the Classical Music Rave collective and she co-founded Classical Tap, a duo with tap dancer Marije Nie that highlights hidden rhythms in classical repertoire; and Rabbits at top speed, a comical duo with Florien Hilgenkamp. She has performed at TV programs De Tiende van Tijl and Maestro, as well as radio programs Opium (Radio 4), Spiegelzaal and NTR Podium, and in 2018 she was the subject of one of the summer specials of Podium Witteman “Klassiek viert de zomer”.

Besides performing, Celia is a ballet accompanist at the Amsterdam University for the Arts, the National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam and De Dutch Don’t Dance Division in The Hague. She is also the programmer of classical music festivals Dag van de Romantische Muziek and Romantiek in Keukenhof.
